Maggie gave birth to eight beautiful puppies on 14/10/2010. This litter of puppies already have loving homes. Contact Us to find out how to become a DrackettCase Cocker owner.

Monday (a little late due to the snow last week) the puppies were packed into a carry box and transported off tot he vets for their check ups. We caused a massive amount of chaos in the waiting room as it seems that 5pm is the perfect time for mums to come to the vets with their young children, and what does any little girl or boy love more than a puppy? Well a bucket filled with puppies of course!

I have to say though that most of the noise was coming from one little black and tan man (who will remain un-named) as he wanted a wee almost as soon as we settled in the waiting room. All of the pups got a good checking over by our lovely new vet John, who was quite pleased (and a little excited himself I think at seeing a box of puppies) during his first week at this practice. Every pup was given a clean bill of health. So they are now all ready for their trips to their new homes this and next weekend. |

Our puppy plans had to change slightly this week due to a massive fall of snow!! The vets visit was put off and we have rebooked for tomorrow evening. A couple of planned puppy cuddle visits also had to be put off as island roads really don't do well in such severe weather. However today we had a houseful of visitors, all here to see the babes! Both Aqua and Blue found new parents today and are to be called George and Freddy. Oakley met his new big sister Willow (from Maggie 2008 litter). I'm not too sure what Willow thought of Oakley, but he had a great time chasing her around the dining room and kitchen :)

How quickly the time with this litter is flying by! They are just over six weeks old today and so much is going on in their little lives. Over the past week I have meet with some new owners and both Red (as yet un-named) and Green (now called Fergus and wearing a black collar) have new Mamma's.
That just leaves me looking for homes for Aqua, Blue and Yellow (all golden males).

The pups are just over three weeks old now. They are doing well with eating solid foods although as you can see from the photos I took this morning they are still at the walking in the food stage. All of the pups can walk well now and all can see. They have been moved into the larger crate now so that they have a toilet area as well as a bed, and already they are getting the hang of moving off the bed to go for a wee.

I'm fed up with not being able to see which pup is which when I look at the web cam so I know the new mamma's and Daddads are gonna be as well. So this afternoon I sat down and made these.

I hope they last at least until he pups are big enough to have the normal cat collars that I use. But I'm not sure they will! |
