The time has come for planning another Cockers on the Beach meeting!
We have chosen to meet on Saturday 27th October around 1:30-1:45pm. We will as normal try and get a group photo before heading out along the sands at 2pm. We have chosen this date as it has a low tide in the afternoon and hopefully we can avoid having to put dogs on the lead for any length of time.

Second Walk of the Year will be held on
23rd October 2011.
We plan to meet on Appley Beach, Ryde. Near the Quay/Harbour at approx 1:30pm. walking out at about 2-2:15pm after a group photo or two.
Low tide is recorded as being at 2:30pm so we should have plenty of beach to walk on, and hopefully no sunbathers to bother us (like in April this year).
Everyone is welcome!!
So please don't worry if your dog isn't a DC baby, our Gathering motto is The More the Merrier. All we ask is that you remember your poo bags, a dry towel and a bottle of fresh water for your poochy. Hope to see you there!!!

Cockers on the Beach will be held on Sunday, 17th April 2011
A little later than the past two years due to the tides. We should have a nice low tide on that Sunday afternoon so if we arrange to meet between 2:15 and 2:30pm on the beach next to the quay (normal meeting point for those who have attended in the past).
Trav will take group photos just before 3pm and then we can head off up the beach. By this time the tide should be well and truly out so there will be no need for any road walking.
There will be plenty of sea puddles so wellies are advised!
All cockers are welcome, they don't have to be DrackettCase cockers.
We ask that you bring poo bags to help us keep our lovely beach clean and remember fresh water and a nice clean towel for your pooch at the end of the walk.
I really look forward to these gatherings every six months and hope to see many of my grandpups as possible.
The meeting point is about a 20-15 minute walk from the Wightlink FastCat ferry that comes in at the end of Ryde Pier and two minutes walk from the the Hover Port.

Here we go again! It's time to plan the next gathering of all you wonderful Cocker owners!
We changed things this April and met on a Sunday afternoon, this seemed to work well so we are planning the next Gathering for .
SUNDAY 10th October 2010.

We plan to meet around 2.30pm on Appley beach Ryde just next to the Harbour.
We should start walking along the beach at 3pm.
Travelling by foot on the Seacat (at the end of the pier) or hoovercraft - walk left along the Esplande towards the Harbour, once past the harbour we will be gathering on the first part of the beach for photos.
Travelling by car- you will find plenty of parking behind the Iceskating rink on Ryde Seafront. From there follow instructions above.
The beach bans shouldn't affect our walk as they lifted at the end each of September. Please do remember though to bnring poop bags as we want to keep our lovely beaches clear of nastiness.
We really hope you can make it over to see us and meet up with some of your dogs litter mates |
