Digg and the girls have had some visitors come to stay with them for the bank holiday weekend. Ruby-Doo's and Dixie-Pearl drove all the way down from Suffolk to see us. Molly was over the moon to see Ruby, they grew up together and have always had a close friendship, this was just what Ruby needed as she lost her lifelong chum Jack just the other week and seeing Molly has cheered her up no end. Dixie-Pearl or DP as she is fondly known is a totally pest (but in a good way), she is almost six months old and has been having a great time running about after all her cocker cousins. DP isn't keen on the sea or water in general but she's had a few dodgy moments when she's had to make a effort to swim, once when she followd Gracie in to sea not looking where she was going and a wave came in and wiped her out, and then this morning during a very muddy walk in the forest she "just had" to go into the pond to wash some of the mud off. Yesterday we took the dogs out along Ventnors Coastal walk the weather was beautiful and the dogs had a great time running about, dragging us up and down the many sets of steps.
After a lovely lunch at the Spy Glass Inn, we drove over to Appldurcombe house to have a wander around the gardens and the ruins of the house. DP and Digg had a little rough and tumble during our photo shoot so we gave up tha idea. Under the trees in a shady part of the gardens the blue bells were all out in flower and looked totally beautiful. The best of many group photos taken.
