As we are fast approaching Ellie’s first and Henry’s second birthday, we thought we would send you a photo of them both, taken a few days ago.

Ellie settled in straight away. As soon as she arrived home with us, she ate the remainder of Henry’s food and licked the bowl clean. She also loved playing in the snow and we had a difficult job in getting her to come inside.
At
three months old and on one of her first walks, we took her to a
nearby area that has two large lakes. Well that was it. Within minutes
she was swimming and has loved it ever since. She is a real water baby,
and any type will do. She frequently runs under the garden hose spray
when we are watering the garden and will always find a pool of water
to lie in when we take her for walks in the forest. She also loves
going into the sea , and a few months ago when we all went to North
Cornwall, she was going under the waves and was at times out with the
surfers.
Ellie
is so loveable, cuddly at times (when it suits her), and is just like
a large teddy bear and can be very independent. She has her own motto
though – what is Ellie’s belongs to Ellie, and what is Henry’s also
belongs to Ellie.
Henry is still the same, full of life and so loveable. He is in charge of the house and lets us live there. He is definitely the thinker. You can see him weighing everything up before he does anything.
Ellie’s arrival was the best thing we could have done. They are inseparable and good company for one another. In the early days however, you could see him looking at us and probably thinking “When are you going to take her back to the Isle of Wight”. Wherever he went he had a shadow behind him, and suddenly he had to eat quickly before all his food disappeared.
Hope you are both well.
Regards,
Anne & Bob.
