Those of you who chat with me on facebook or attended cockers on the beach may know, that Gracie was at the vets on Friday for a spay and mastectomy. it's a big operation and she coped well with it. The lumps that where removed from her have been confirmed tumours and the vets has given us the news we might have a limited amount of time left with our little choclate and tan sweetie. However they are not able to tell us any more than it could be 6 months or 6 years. With this in mind we are planning to make everyday with her count and live for the day!

Gracie is such a sweetheart I can't imagin her not being about, but sadly this is a place we as pet owners often find ourselves in. Since the op, she has bounced back in full form and is happily barging her way about the house knocking everyone out of the way with her lampshade style head wear. the other girls and Digg are being great about her and are being very careful not to knock her or sit on her. Looking on the lighter side of things Gracie has found an excellent use for the buster collar during meal times. She has found that if she lowers her head right to the floor covering her whole bowl in it's plastic bubble. she then eats her food as slowly as she wants while the other greedy piglets watch but can't touch ;) I'm sure Gracie will be on here herself soon blogging all about it once she is feeling up to it.
