I have had emails and phone calls from all seven of Maggies babies to let me know how they are settling in, we have had a visit from Charlie, on his way home from the vets and I'm off to see Willow this afternoon for some cuddles.
Florin
| She is enchanting and has completely won every heart she has met. All systems are working and she is eating well. We go to the vet tomorrow for inoculations. Our daughter goes back to Italy tomorrow and after that we shall start to sort out the nights. I don't think it will take long - what wakes her is needing to do a wee or pooh, both of which are accompanied by a bit of whining but she is making valiant attempts to do everything on the paper. Altogether we are delighted - thank you. She has really settled in well, loves all the attention and is completely unphased by it all. She has been sleeping through the night for a week now, knows her name (Flossie) and we can't wait for next Tuesday when the injections will be complete and we can take her out. While we are waiting, I have been practising with a lead in the garden and yesterday for the first time took her out in the car which she did not enjoy as much as everything else we have done but we shall persevere with a few minutes each day and once there is a walk at the end of the drive I am sure she will settle down. | | | | Nero seems to be settlin in really well, can't imagine life without him now! | | | Charlie popped over to see his Nanny and Mummy Maggie the other day, he has already grown so much and is so full of wiggles. his new Mummy reports that his toilet training is going very wel and he has settled into his new home very well. he is happy to play alone when his mummy goes to work and doesn't worry she isn't coming back, he will have another new friend to play with in a few weeks as Charlies mummy has a friend who is Henry CT's new mummy. They should have a great time playing together. | | Ruby is settling in nicely as you can see from the three attached photos - she has taken a great shine to the Tesco Bag for Life!!! She played with it for ages yesterday before settling down to sleep on it. She is not too keen at the moment when we leave her in the kitchen by herself but we left her and went shopping yesterday but I left the radio on for some background noise for her and we were out for about an hour and half and all was quiet on our return. I am settling in nicely at my new home and have met lots of grown ups and children but I do like to bites them all but mummy diverts me with toys!! I have new friends 'Beau and Lotte' who came to visit with us last Tuesday and have attached a photo for you to see. Mummy and Daddy took me to puppy socialisation classes on Thursday but I was a bit overawed by it all especially when I got flattened by two chocolate labradors who were playing chase, but I gave them a good telling off but it hasn't put me off and we are going again next week. I am going in the garden lots now and am having great fun flattening all the plants and listening to all the sounds of the birds in the garden though I can't see any, my bell makes them fly away. | Ruby
| | | | Archie has settled in well and is learning how to play with human children rather than puppies, he is full of energy and is looking forward to his first walk once he has had the full course of Jabs. | | | Giz was a little retless on the ferry, but humming some tunes & rocking him in my arms sent him off to sleep. He didn't wake up 'til we arrived home. Dex is very fascinated with Giz & at one point, they were both asleep next to eachother! I was amazed. I didn't think he would respond this way at all. Giz asked for supper which he 'woofed' up, looked at me & barked for some more. Communication is on the up! | | Things are still going well. Dex has started playing with Giz & even rubbing Giz's face with his. (so sweet) I spent the first 2 nights on the sofa with Giz in his basket in the same room. Thought you'd like to see this picture. Giz & Dex have become the best of friends. They follow eachother everywhere & Dex is teaching giz bad habits already! Giz is more settled at night..especially when he knows Dex is about. | Willow
| Willow is settling in well with her new family and enjoying investiagting the house. she has already learnt how to sit and fetch her ball, her family are looking forward to being able to take her out for her first walk, Maggie and I are going over to see her today to hopefully try and wear her out a little. | |
