C rumbs I had to work out this morning just how old Beeb is, it seems like she has always been with us as part of our pack. the others have totally accepted this little pest that runs rings around them and barks when they are in the middle of some big dog play. She is allowed to share a bed with all the others now with the exception of Diggory would only shares with Mo and Gracie anyway (even Suki and Maggie are still classed as pesky baby sisters to him -unless in season). But to think she is just 15 weeks old doesn't seem real.

She has been a little star to have about the house and I'm surprised it hasn't been harder work having a pup about after so many years. I know we have puppies running around twice a year but it's been five years since we had a growing pup about the house. She is happy to sleep and play in her crate, we still use it as a safe place for her and she will retire here with a chew or toy she doesn't want the others to steal. Every meal is taken here (she's on three a day now) and she runs to her crate the moment she hears her bowl being picked up.

We have had some damage due to chewing. Please don't think she is a total angel. But there is only so much that can be blamed on her and the rest of the blame must be ours. while I was away at a crafting retreat a weekend or so back I forgot to tell Trav she had taken a liking to my scrapbook albums that live on the floor beside my sofa. She happily lay on her bed and munched through the spines while Trav dozed in front of the telly on Saturday afternoon. never mind no harm done and they are just the albums nothing that can't be replaced. She did get told "No" and was a given a chew toy to take to her crate when Trav found her.

A week or so back she went on her first road walk. i had been putting this off as Beebee dislikes being lead by her collar and will buck and drag is i try to do this. I needed a harness small enough to fit her so she couldn't slip out from it. she had been on little walks up the field wearing Maggie's old harness but i know she can get out of that one and didn't dare losing her by the roadside. So this was a new experience for her to be restrained and next to large noisy cars whizzing past her.

She coped really well. The harness made a huge difference and she walked lovely next to Gracie for most of the walk. it was just on the way home when a bus came past us that she tried to run in the other direction and freaked out when she found that she could only go as far as the lead. she soon calmed down though and we carried on with the walk. Things are getting easier with each walk and she is learning road rules well.

Other things she is learning are how to get up and down the stairs, how to steal the cat food when Mamma isn't looking, how to get up on our bed using the blanket box and She soon learnt how to get the most out of the dregs from a milkshake, that cup didn't last long at all and what Beebee did leave Maggie soon made short work of.

Her eye is barely noticeable now some day's she looks totally normal but others her inner eyelid while rise up and makes the eye look slightly odd. we still have the bathing and eye drops routine three times each day and she happily sits on my lap while a poke about with wipes and tubes. We are planning a visit to the vets again soon just for a check up, although they did say she will need to be fully grown before a decision can be made about the eye I like to drop by and let them see how she is doing. She seems to have good sight in both eyes as a tennis ball never gets away from her and she is the first at my feet if I drop anything while cooking.

Play time with her mummy is a must every day. They are still loving each others company and although their play can sometimes be rough, noisy and messy I love to watch them together.

She is so sweet and its great to see that her eye is giving her little to no trouble. Bet you have a number of takers should you decide not to keep her at the end of her stay with you guys.
